Biopics of sports celebrities have been on the rise lately, following the success of movies like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Talks of upcoming biopics on sports legends like Sourav Ganguly have also been making headlines.
Recently, at a conclave event, the acclaimed actor and RRR star, Ram Charan, shared his interest in starring in a sports-based film when asked about a role he hopes to play someday.
When someone suggested that he could portray the Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli, in a biopic, Charan’s eyes lit up. He replied that it would be fantastic to get the chance to play such an inspiring soul on screen.
Interestingly, Charan’s confession came not long after a video of Kohli performing the hook step of the chartbuster song “Naatu Naatu” from Charan’s recent film RRR went viral. This only added fuel to the fans’ excitement about the possibility of Charan portraying Kohli in a biopic.
