Ranveer Singh is one actor who can emote both comedy and intensity on big screen. He is equally comfortable playing happy-go-lucky characters and immediately do some deep, intense roles in other films.
Right now, he has 83 in the making, which happens to be a biopic of Kapil Dev. Ranveer has trained hard for the part to give it authenticity, as the film shows that part of history when India won the 1983 world cup under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. The film also has his wife Deepika Padukone playing his on-screen wife Romi Dev.
Like we mentioned, he then has a comic caper in Rohit Shetty’s cop series Sooryavanshi, which also stars Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn.
Ranveer Singh had recently posted that his favourite films from ‘90s were Judwaa and Raja Babu, following a challenge thrown by Akshay Kumar about films that inspired actors from the ’90s. In Judwaa, Salman Khan plays a double role and was a huge, huge hit during its time.
Now, Ranveer is getting a chance to play double role in Rohit Shetty’s film titled Cirkus. The film will show the story of two brothers who are separated at birth and meet when they grow up. The film also has Varun Sharma playing a double role as attendants for both Ranveer characters.
Going by the plot, initially, the film was expected to be a remake of Sanjeev Kapoor’s Angoor. However, latest reports say that the film is based on Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors.
The female leads will be played by Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde.
