It’s well known that the shooting for much-awaited biopic on former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa had wrapped up recently. Starring Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut in the titular role, the film also stars noted Tamil actor Arvind Swami reprising the legendary actor and politician MGR in Thalaivi.
Meanwhile, on MGR’s death anniversary today, the film unit has unveiled the first look poster of Arvind Swami as MGR. Seen in a politician avatar, Arvind Swami has been impressing everyone with his facial expressions and getup as the legend of golden times.
Being directed by AL Vijay, Thalaivi’s post-production activities are underway at a fast pace. Vishnu Vardhan Induri in association with Shaailesh R Singh is bankrolling Thalaivi which is aiming for a pan-India release in the mid-2021.
