Fake News About Star Heroine Goes Viral

Recent rumors have been circulating widely about the supposed demise of Divya Spandana, a prominent Kannada actress and Congress leader known as Ramya. These rumors suggested that she had tragically suffered a cardiac arrest. Many individuals on social media platform X expressed their condolences in response to these unfounded claims. However, it has come to our attention that these reports are entirely untrue.

The origin of this false information and its rapid spread through social media remains unclear. Initially, it was reported that a prominent Public Relations Officer (PRO) had tweeted the news but subsequently deleted the post. Within minutes, the inaccurate information had already gained significant traction.

Interestingly, even Wikipedia briefly indicated Divya Spandana’s passing before swiftly correcting the information once the hoax was confirmed.

In her political career, Divya Spandana gained recognition when she won a by-election in 2013, becoming a Member of Parliament representing the Mandya constituency in Karnataka. However, she faced defeat in the subsequent general elections the following year.

On the cinematic front, she rose to fame for her role opposite Suriya in “Surya SO Krishnan.” Her most recent film appearance was in the Kannada movie “Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare,” which was released in Telugu as “Boys Hostel.” Notably, she was replaced by Rashmi Gautham for the Telugu version.

It’s worth mentioning that Divya Spandana maintains an active presence on both X and Instagram, with her latest posts dating back just ten hours ago.
