Star actress Samantha’s latest outing ‘Yashoda’, a thriller that revolves around surrogacy mafias was released last Friday. Despite a few lags and illogical scenes, the movie was appreciated by everyone, and thought Samantha’s stardom could pull the audience to the theatres.
But, the collections have dropped drastically once the weekend is over. The movie is able to collect less than fifty percent on Monday compared to the packed houses during the weekend. Many claims that the collections are not at all consistent. Trade experts claim that it is going to be tough for Samantha’s flick to end up in the safe zone. Let us wait and see if it happens or not.
Directed by Hari and Harish, the movie had Unni Mukundan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Rao Ramesh, Sampath Raj, Murali Sharma, Shatru, Divya Sripada and Priyanka Sharma in other important roles. On the work front, Samantha has wrapped up the shooting of Gunasekhar’s mythological drama ‘Shaakunthalam’ and will resume shooting for Shiva Nirvana’s ‘Khushi’, a romantic entertainer also featuring Vijay Deverakonda.
