At the pre-release event of “King of Kotha,” Rana Daggubati’s remarks regarding the conduct of an actress during the filming of a Hindi movie sparked controversy. Prompting many to interpret it as alluding to Sonam Kapoor. These comments gained considerable attention, leading Rana to promptly offer an apology to Sonam Kapoor. Recently, Rana has addressed the issue.
Dulquer Salmaan took a neutral stance on the matter. During an interaction with Zoom, Dulquer expressed his preference not to delve into the topic and underscored his respect for his friends and colleagues in the industry. He suggested that Rana’s remarks might not have been fully considered at the time and appreciated Rana for clarifying his statement through an apology.
In the earlier incident, Rana Daggubati had discussed Dulquer’s experience working with a ‘prominent Hindi film actress’ without explicitly mentioning anyone’s name. Subsequent online conversations led to speculation that the comments were indirectly aimed at Sonam Kapoor.
“King of Kotha” also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Nyla Usha, and Gokul Suresh in significant roles. The movie is scheduled for release during the Onam festival.
