The once famous director Siva Nageswara Rao, who is known for the entertainers like Money. Money Money and Sisindri, has returned to the director’s chair after a long hiatus with his latest release, Dochevarevarura, which hit theaters today. Let’s take a closer look at the movie.

Story: Siddhu Sr. (Pranava Chandra) and Siddhu Jr. (child artiste Chakri) steal to earn their livelihood. Siddhu Sr. meets Lucky (Malavika Sateesan), and they fall in love with each other. Siddhu decides to assist Lucky in solving her problems. Meanwhile, Vimal (Ajay Ghosh), hires PK Satthi (Bithiri Satthi) to murder his wife Parvathy (Pranavi Sadhanala). What is the reason behind Vimal’s plan to kill his wife? What is the connection between Satthi and Siddhu? You’ll get these answers when you watch the film.

Plus Points: It’s great to see director Siva Nageswara Rao return with another crime comedy film. In this movie, the director focuses more on the villain and his backstory, which is a key part of the story.

Ajay Ghosh, who is known for his supporting and villainous roles, played the hero in this movie. He also played dual roles, which makes the story more interesting in the second half.

Pranava Chandra, the son of lyricist Chaitanya Prasad, performed well, as did the heroine Malavika Sateesan. They both played their respective roles well, and their on-screen chemistry was good.

Child artiste Chakri gave a stellar performance. In addition to his acting skills, his dialogue delivery was impressive, and his comedy timing added to the movie’s entertainment value. Pranavi Sadhanala also gave a solid performance, which evoked laughter, particularly in the second half. The other cast members were adequate in their respective roles.

Minus Points: Director Siva Nageswara Rao chose a crime comedy drama that lacks intrigue. This type of story has been done before, making it difficult to captivate audiences. Additionally, the narration is quite dull and tests the audience’s patience.

While there are some comedy scenes that evoke laughter, the rest of the story falls flat, making one wonder what the director intended to convey with the movie.

The emotional scenes could have been written and established better, making Dochevarevarura an okay movie. Instead, they appeared comical and detracted from the plot.

The director should have focused more on the other characters played by Bithiri Satthi, Benarji, and Tanikella Bharani, as he failed to bring out the best in them.

Verdict: Overall, Dochevarevarura is a subpar movie that has very few entertaining moments. It’s best to skip this movie and consider watching other films instead.
