Young mega hero Vaishnav Tej’s debut film, Uppena was supposed to hit the screens in the month of April but due to Corona lockdown, the film’s release is postponed further. After the central government gave permission to reopen cinema halls in the month of October, news came out that the film will immediately have a theatrical release during Dusshera or Diwali seasons but there is no official confirmation regarding the same later.
Meanwhile, from the past few days, news has been circulating among film circles is that Uppena will be released during the upcoming Sankranthi season for sure. Now, the latest buzz is that as the Sankranthi release is blocked by a few noted films like Krack, Akhil’s Most Eligible Batchelor and Nani’s Tuck Jagadish, the makers are planning to move for an early summer release.
However, an official confirmation regarding the above news is awaited.
Young beauty Krithi Shetty is debuting in Tollywood with Uppena. Sukumar’s assistant Buchi Babu Sana has directed the film and Mythri Movie Makers banner bankrolled it.
