Censor Board Shocks Dasara Movie

Nani’s highly anticipated action-thriller film, Dasara, is all set to release on the 30th of this month. The movie is said to be the most expensive project in Nani’s career so far, and the expectations are sky-high.

In recent news, Dasara has successfully passed the censor scrutiny, but with a whopping 36 cuts. This is a significant number, and it’s not often that a mainstream Telugu film undergoes so many corrections in the censor scrutiny.

The reason for such a high number of cuts is the raw and rustic elements that are present in the film, such as the Telangana dialect and the usage of swear words. It also indicates that Dasara is a film that is deeply rooted in Telangana culture and values.

Directed by Srikanth Odela, the movie stars Nani and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. It is a strong Telangana-based action drama set in the backdrop of Singareni Mine Fields. The movie is being promoted aggressively by Nani across the nation.

It will be interesting to see how Dasara performs at the pan-India box office, given the increasing affinity of north Indian audiences towards rooted south Indian films.
