The shooting for ace director Shankar and Universal hero Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited film, Indian 2 was halted in the month of March due to Corona lockdown. Touted as a patriotic drama, the filmmakers have not yet decided on when to resume the shoot.
Meanwhile, the latest buzz circulating among Tamil circles is that fed up with the careless attitude of Lyca Productions, Shankar is planning to shelve the project and go ahead with a new film. If the news turns into reality, this going to a major jolt for the film producer Subaskaran, who had already spent huge bucks erecting massive sets and lavish production.
Starring Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles, Indian 2 is a sequel to 1996 blockbuster, Indian, which had a simultaneous release in Telugu as Bhaaratheeyudu.
