It is well-known that Tamil star Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru was gearing up for a direct digital release on noted OTT platform Amazon Prime on October 30, 2020. But as a huge disappointment for fans and moviegoers, Suriya a couple of days back announced that Soorarai Pottru’s OTT release is postponed as his team is yet to get permission from the National security team and Indian Air Force authorities.
Meanwhile, the flash news coming in from Tamil media circles is that Soorarai Pottru got No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Air Force team but the team is waiting for a few more permissions from other categories. Reports suggest that if all the issues are sorted out by this month-end, the film will have bright chances to be out on Amazon Prime as Diwali special.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, Soorarai Pottru is based on the life story of Captain Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan. The film will be available in Telugu version as Aakasame Nee Haddhura. Suriya himself in association with Bollywood filmmaker Guneet Monga has produced the film.
