Book Launch Of ‘Raktakaneeru’ Nagabhushanam Unveiled by Natakireeti Dr. Rajendra Prasad

Senior journalist Udayagiri Fayaz authored a book titled ‘Raktakaneeru’ Nagabhushanam, which details the life, cinematic journey, and various facets of the legendary actor Late Nagabhushanam, who breathed life into numerous roles with his exceptional acting. The book was launched by versatile actor Natakireeti Dr. Rajendra Prasad at his residence. The event was attended by the book’s author Fayaz, Nagabhushanam’s eldest son Raghavarao, eldest daughter Malleeswari, son-in-law Arun Kumar, Rahil Taj, and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Natakireeti Dr. Rajendra Prasad said, “Today is an incredibly fortunate day in my life. By the grace of God, I was blessed to be born in the house of the world-renowned actor N.T. Rama Rao and had the opportunity to meet many great personalities, among whom Nagabhushanam holds a special place. What connects me to ‘Raktakaneeru’ Nagabhushanam is that while I turned comedy into heroism, he brought comedy even into villainous roles. Most notably, he was renowned for his dubbing skills.

The timing with which he delivered dialogues during shoots was replicated with such precision in dubbing that he could do it with his eyes closed. He was a phenomenal actor who came from the stage and never abandoned stage shows even while working in films. One could go on about his remarkable qualities. Senior journalist Fayaz has beautifully compiled these aspects into this book. How will the current generation learn about senior actors? It is through books like these. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Fayaz for this effort. Launching ‘Raktakaneeru’ Nagabhushanam in the presence of his family members is a matter of great pride for me. I urge everyone to read this book.”

Writer Udayagiri Fayaz said, “Nagabhushanam was not only a great actor but also an exemplary gentleman. He lived a simple life, and every aspect of his life reflects greatness. He was as remarkable a person as he was an actor. Writing a book about him is my privilege, and having it launched by my dear friend Rajendra Prasad doubles my joy. His family members provided immense support during the writing of this book, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to them on this occasion.”
