Actor Nadu has been trying his luck as a hero in Tollywood for quite a long time, but couldn’t find success. Though he is successful as a side lead, his dreams of proving himself as a solo hero still remain unfulfilled.

After a long gap, Nandu has come up with a romantic action drama ‘Bomma Blockbuster’ which features Rashmi Gautham as the female lead. Let’s see what the movie is all about.

Story:

Pothuraju (Nandu) is an aspirant filmmaker who is a fan of director Puri Jagannadh. He dreams of making a movie based on the incidents that happened in his own life. Over a period of time, his life takes an unexpected turn with the murder of his father. Who killed his father? Did Pothuraju achieve his dream is the rest of the story?

Plus Points:

Nandu has already proven his mettle as an actor and he delivers yet another promising performance as a lead hero. His body language is good and so is his diction.

Debutant director Raj Virat showcases the village atmosphere well. Few action scenes are good, and the editing and background score is impressive.

Minus Points:

The story of the movie itself is a big letdown. The movie starts as an action movie, but it soon turns emotional and becomes bland post-interval. Despite a simple plot, the director has made it more complicated by infusing unnecessary scenes.

Verdict:

On the whole, ‘Bomma Blockbuster’ is a silly movie that fails to connect to the audience. Except for a few scenes, the movie has nothing special to offer.

Rating : 2.5/5
