Injuries are prone to happen on movie sets, and this time, Saif Ali Khan experienced his share. He recently underwent knee and tricep surgery on January 22 at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital. Engaged in the shoot of ‘Devara,’ Saif seized the opportunity to address a long-pending minor surgery. Exclusive sources informed IndiaToday.in that the procedure was indeed minor, and Saif is currently on the path to recovery.
Despite the challenges posed by the surgery, Saif Ali Khan expressed gratitude, stating, “This injury and the surgery that followed are a part of the wear and tear of what we do. I am very happy to be in such amazing surgical hands and thank all well-wishers for their love and concern.”
Contrary to earlier speculations that Saif sustained injuries during the shooting of ‘Devara,’ including knee and shoulder injuries, the tricep surgery was necessitated by an old injury resurfacing during an action sequence in the film. ‘Devara’ features Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor alongside Saif Ali Khan.
This isn’t the first time Saif has faced challenges due to on-set injuries. Previously, while filming Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon,’ he encountered injuries, sporting crepe bandages on multiple occasions. During the climax scene of the film, which also starred Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor, Saif hurt his thumb and ankle, showcasing the physical toll that filmmaking can take. Despite these hurdles, Saif’s dedication to his craft remains unwavering.
