Allu Arjun has repeatedly said that he wants to act in such special roles after watching the Sukumar-Charan Rangasathalam movie. His wish was finally fulfilled in the form of Sukumar. Sukumar designed the Pushpa Raj character for Allu Arjun with a pakka mass story. The movie runs on the theme of red sandalwood smuggling.
