There have been reports circulating that Balakrishna slapped Sreeleela, the young sensation of Tollywood, leaving her in tears. However, the reality of the situation is quite different.
Balakrishna is known to be a friendly person, but like anyone else, he can get angry at times. The incident took place during the shooting of Balakrishna’s film NBK 108, directed by Anil Ravipudi. While Kajal Aggarwal plays the female lead in the movie, Sreeleela portrays the role of Balakrishna’s niece. In a particular scene, it was required for Balakrishna to slap Sreeleela.
Surprisingly, it was Sreeleela herself who requested Balakrishna to slap her on the cheek for the scene. Balakrishna followed the script and enacted the scene, leaving everyone on set in shock. Anil Ravipudi also remained silent after the scene was completed, emphasizing the naturalness of the shot. Sreeleela, as per the requirements of the scene, left the set in tears. Her commitment to her role was praised by everyone present.
Sreeleela made her Tollywood debut with the film Pelli SandaD, directed by Raghavendra Rao. She also had a successful outing in Dhamaka, co-starring Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja. Since then, she has signed several films and is currently working on about eight projects.
The incident involving Balakrishna and Sreeleela was part of the film’s shooting and not a personal altercation between them.
