Nandamuri Balakrishna is riding high after two back-to-back super hits. After delivering a blockbuster with Akhanda, he scored another hit with Veera Simha Reddy which was released for Sankranthi. The movie held a success meet which was attended by Balakrishna, Gopichand Malineni along with Vishwak Sen, Anil Ravipudi, Harish Shankar, Hanu Raghavapudi, and Shiva Nirvana.
Director Gopichand Malineni thanked Balakrishna for giving him an opportunity to direct him. He also hailed actress Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar as one of the finest actresses of the current generation and called Duniya Vijay, a humble person just like the late Tollywood actor Srihari.
Speaking at the success meet, Balakrishna said, “I did a faction film after a long time. I can’t reveal the reasons now why Gopichand was arrested on the first day of the release of Samara Simha Reddy. It’s easy to bookcases now. I wanted to do a movie like Chenna Kesava Reddy when I and Gopichand Malineni were thinking of doing a movie together. I slap my thigh and say, I’m proud of doing Veera Simha Reddy.
It was a wonderful journey. We all are alcoholics and workaholics. I start my daily routine with a cigar every day, which helps me utter my dialogues correctly. Cinema, Basavatarakam Hospital, and my constituency are the three things I love most. Shruti Haasan is a very good artist. Naveen and Ravi are very passionate producers. They are continuing to make some good movies.”
Balakrishna who is currently hosting the talk show Unstoppable on AHA will soon join Anil Ravipudi for a movie. The movie is likely to go on floors in the summer this year.
