Similar to politics, unfulfilled promises are becoming increasingly apparent in the Tollywood Movie Artists Association (MAA). During his campaign, MAA President Manchu Vishnu made a significant pledge to construct a dedicated MAA building. However, to the disappointment of many, there has been no progress on this promise, and the association continues to operate from a rented space.
Today, during the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) election, senior actor Naresh faced questions from the media regarding the status of the MAA building.
Naresh responded, “It is better if MAA President Manchu Vishnu answers that question. I am not the right person to provide details. However, I can say that the resolution has been passed, and work is in progress.”
He added, “In this film chamber, I am still a learner (L-board). I have numerous films to work on, and I am delighted to come and cast my vote. Many prominent and responsible individuals are involved. If any issues arise, my team is always there to address them. When it comes to films, there are no divisions of Telangana, Andhra, or Rayalaseema. We are all united as one.”
The situation surrounding the MAA building remains a topic of concern, and the film industry is hoping for prompt action to fulfill the promise and enhance the functioning of the association for the benefit of all its members.
