As part of an initiative to uphold and promote Hinduism, Maha Bhakti TV—a new devotional channel from the Maha TV News Network—was officially launched with its logo unveiling by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Maha News MD Vamsi Krishna expressed his gratitude, stating that Maha Bhakti would champion Sanatana Dharma and reflect the aspirations of Pawan Kalyan, who has consistently voiced his concerns about the preservation of Hindu traditions.
In his speech, Pawan Kalyan emphasized the need for a platform that defends Hinduism against constant criticism.
“My heartfelt greetings to Vamsi garu for inviting me to the inauguration of Maha Bhakti Channel. I feel that I am not the right person to come here. I cannot speak like a monk. As an average person who follows Hinduism, I want to have a voice that opposes what is being said to degrade Hinduism,” he said.
Pawan also added, “When there are various comments in the media that denigrate Hinduism, there are few media outlets that stand up for it and speak in favor of religion. I thank Vamsi garu for starting Maha Bhakti Channel, saying that we should raise our voice for Hinduism and not just for business.”
“We have learned our history in schools. No one taught us religion. When I go to the Meenakshi Temple in Mathura, when foreign kings came, I was asked how the original idol of Meenakshi was protected. They showed me a Shivalinga. I felt embarrassed when everyone was mocking Hinduism, which says that all religions are equal, in the name of secularism. I am not a stubborn Hindu.” Pawan said.
“When other religions are attacked, everyone backs down. But when Hinduism is attacked, no one speaks out because they say it will lose votes. There should be a deep debate on this. We should talk about history. People like Urmila Thapar have killed our historical legends. Ramayana, India is our history. There is proof for everything. I was surprised to read about the astrological proof of the Kurukshetra War. There is evidence for everything. The time when Rama was born is also documented with scientific data. It is embarrassing to see those who criticize and denigrate such things,” Pawan Kalyan said.
Sanatana Dharma is the religion that constantly reinvents Hinduism. All this needs to be told to the coming generations in the form of history. I want this channel to work in that direction,” Pawan said.
Pawan said, “People like Urmila Thapar have been conditioning us since the British Macaulay. Historians have made many distortions. We need to counter all this crazy ideology that says we have no connection with North India. We need to prove it with strong evidence. We need to give opportunities to such people. I wish this Bhakti channel will also be successful under the leadership of Vamsi garu.. I wish all the Telugu people to support this channel.”
