Another Senior Tollywood Hero Turns Character Artist

Rajasekhar, the popular hero from yesteryears, once enjoyed immense stardom with his iconic angry and romantic roles, winning the hearts of many fans through movies like “Ankusam,” “Magadu,” and “Allari Priyudu.” However, like several other heroes from the 90s, Rajasekhar gradually faded from the limelight and struggled to adapt to the changing trends in the film industry.

Just when it seemed his career had come to a standstill, “Garudavega” breathed new life into his career, followed by “Kalki,” which also contributed to his resurgence. However, his movie “Sekhar” did not achieve the same success, and there were no subsequent projects on the horizon.

In contrast to some veteran actors like Jagapathi Babu and Srikanth, who have been actively pursuing character and villain roles, Rajasekhar chose to remain selective and had previously expressed his willingness to take up such a role only if it were on par with the caliber of Aravind Swamy’s character in “Dhruva.”

It appears that Rajasekhar has been offered such a role in Nithiin’s movie, “Extra-Ordinary Man.” Word has it that he has joined the shoot for a special role in the film. If this role indeed garners appreciation for the iconic angry young man of yesteryears, we may witness him gracing the screen more frequently, taking on a variety of villain and character roles.
