Shahrukh Khan’s latest release “Jawan” is enjoying tremendous success at the box office. Even the Telugu version of the movie is performing exceptionally well in the Andhra and Nizam regions. At this moment, fans of the nationally acclaimed actor Allu Arjun are feeling delighted. However, their joy doesn’t come from the success of “Jawan,” but rather from their favorite actor’s decision not to take up a role in the film.
Upon closer examination, it appears that the role offered to Sanjay Dutt in “Jawan” is a relatively minor one, appearing towards the end of the film with a few entertaining scenes. This role seems to be tailored to resemble a South Indian character, with a Malayali wife, and is set to celebrate the Onam festival. Given the nature of this role, it’s reasonable to assume that director Atlee might have initially considered Allu Arjun for it. However, there’s a twist to this situation.
The role in question lacks significant impact, is essentially a cameo with no substantial contribution to an actor’s career, and won’t garner attention on par with, for example, Surya’s appearance in Vikram’s film. It’s evident that Allu Arjun made the right decision in declining this role, as it would have been an underwhelming debut for him in the Bollywood film industry.
Now that Allu Arjun has received the Best Actor award for “Pushpa,” the anticipation for his upcoming film, “Pushpa 2,” is also gaining traction in the Bollywood market. It would be more prudent for him to aim for big successes and surpass the records set by “Jawan” rather than appearing in a role that wouldn’t do justice to his Bollywood debut. This decision aligns with the sentiments of his devoted fans who believe that Allu Arjun should focus on making “Pushpa 2” a blockbuster rather than featuring in “Jawan.”
