Actor-director Ajay Devgn will be directing superstar Amitabh Bachchan in the film titled Mayday. This is the first time that Ajay Devgn will be directing the veteran actor. Earlier, Ajay had directed films like Shivaay and U Me Aur Hum. While Shivaay did well at the box-office, U Me Aur Hum did not meet audience’s expectations.
While Ajay Devgn will be playing a pilot in the film, Big B’s role has still been kept under wraps. However, this is not the first time that Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan will be working in a film together. In the past, they had worked in Khakeee, which had an average run and Satyagraha which got critical acclaim.
The film’s shooting will commence in December and it will be made under Ajay Devgn’s home banner, Ajay Devgn Films.
As of now, Amitabh Bachchan is seen in KBC’s latest season, which is going on Sony television. He has Brahmastra, Jhund and Chehre lined up for release. His last release was Gulabo Sitabo which had mixed reviews and was released on Amazon Prime due to Corona.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn was last seen in Tanhaji, which did well at the BO. He has Bhuj: The Pride of India, Maidan lined up for release. He is also part of the film and production of SS Rajamouli’s much-hyped RRR.
