Director: Sanjeev Reddy

Producers: Surya Rahul Tamada & Saideep Reddy Borra

Raj Tarun who made a successful debut as a hero with the ‘Uyyala Jampala’ movie impressed everyone with his acting and was soon flooded with offers. He delivered a few hits initially and started fading out as his movies turned out miserable duds. The actor who hasn’t delivered a hit for a long time shifted focus to web series and tried his luck with a new web series ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’ which is out on Zee 5 OTT platform. Let’s see what’s the web series is all about.

Story:

Like in most of his previous movies, Raj Tarun played an easy-go-lucky guy in this web series. Srinu (Raj Tarun) is from Rajamundry and faces humiliation on the marriage day after the bride Sudha (Dipali Sharma) elopes with her boyfriend. Unable to bear the humiliation and insult, Srinu leaves shifts his base to Hyderabad from Rajamundry. After coming to Hyderabad, Srinu gets to know about the actual reason behind the cancellation of his marriage through Mahendra ( Posani). Who is Mahendra? How will he provoke Srinu? What will Srinu do later? How a girl name Maha enters his life? What kind of twists and turns will Srinu witness later in his life, forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Though ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’ is a rom-com genre, director Sanjeev Reddy made sure that the presentation has freshness in it. Sheik Dawood G’s screenplay is gripping throughout, and the dialogues by Kalyan Raghav Pasapula are quite thought-provoking and meaningful.

The way the characters get established initially is good. Though the series seems to drop the pace midway, the director balanced the proceedings by incorporating an equal dose of fun and drama during the last two episodes.

 Verdict:

On the whole, ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’ is a new-age web show that has impressive performances from Raj Tarun, Shivani, and other artists. Barring a few dull moments, ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’ is an engaging series worth watching.
