Leaving both the actor and his fans extremely disappointed. Despite Akhil’s high hopes, the film received a terrible response from the audience, leading to a complete collapse at the box office. As a result, the latest reports suggest that the movie is soon to make its OTT debut.
SonyLIV, one of the leading digital platforms, has acquired the digital streaming rights to Agent. While recent Telugu movies usually take around three to four weeks to debut on OTT, given Agent’s disastrous box office performance, it may arrive on the streaming platform in the next two weeks.
Agent revolves around the story of Ricky (Akhil), a passionate and wild- spirited individual who dreams of becoming a RAW agent due to an incident from his childhood. Mahadev (Mammootty) trains and mentors Ricky to take on the rogue ex-agent Devil (Dino Morea). However, a straightforward mission goes wrong, and Ricky becomes the target. The film showcases how Ricky solves the problem and serves his nation.
Produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema, with Ajay Sunkara and Pathi Deepa Reddy as executive producers, Agent features Malayalam Megastar Mammootty and Bollywood Actor Dino Morea in key roles. The movie’s editing was done by National Award winner Naveen Noolii, and Rasool Ellore was the cinematographer. Sakshi Vaidya played the female lead, and Hip-hop Tamizha was the music director.
