Samantha, along with Varun Dhawan, attended the original series premiere of Citadel in London, as they are starring in the Indian spin-off of the series. Samantha’s US accent caught the attention of netizens during press interviews, and some people made inappropriate comparisons with Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s accents.
One Twitter user commented that they adore Samantha but think she should have spoken in an Indian accent instead of faking her accent. Another user called the video “cringe.” Earlier this month, Samantha faced criticism over her failed movie Shaakuntalam and her dubbing accent with a gym-toned body. Fans are now hoping for the success of her upcoming releases of the Indian versions of Citadel and the movie Kushi to silence all controversies surrounding her.
