After KCR, Jagan announces restart package for theatres and exhibitors

Considering the post-Covid lockdown situations, our twin state governments have come forward to rescue the theatres and distribution chain across both states. Earlier, Telangana CM KCR announced special sops from the survival of Telugu film industry workers and the theatre owners in Telangana.

Meanwhile, following KCR’s footsteps, Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Reddy’s government also announced sops as a part of restart package. Under this restart package, the AP government is going to provide exchequer of ₹4.8 crores by giving capital loans ranging from 10-5 lakhs to the exhibitors from all areas.
As per the official GO released by the state government, these loans will have a reduced interest rate with a subsidy of 4.5% during the first year. Adding to it, all the theatres and multiplexes across AP are going to an electricity bill wavering from three months.

Welcoming Andhra Pradesh government’s restart package, Telugu industry bigwigs thanked CM Jagan Reddy.
