Just like Sri Rama Navami, Sita Navami is also celebrated across the country with great religious fervor every year. This year, the makers of Adipurush chose to honor the occasion by releasing a new poster of Kriti Sanon, who portrays the role of Janaki, or Goddess Sita, in the film. The motion poster features Kriti Sanon in all her divine glory, while the audio teaser of the melodious tune “Ram Siya Ram” was also released.
In a statement, the Adipurush team paid special tribute to Goddess Sita, who is one of the most revered women in Indian history, known for her dedication, selflessness, bravery, and purity. Kriti Sanon’s portrayal of Janaki represents these qualities and stands as a symbol of purity, divinity, and courage as Lord Raghav’s consort.
The melodious tune of “Ram Siya Ram,” composed and sung by Sachet- Parampara, perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Janaki’s unwavering devotion towards Raghav and is sure to transport the audience to a world of spirituality and devotion.
Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, stars Prabhas as Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan as Ravan. The highly anticipated film is set to release on June 16, 2023.
