Prabhas’s film “Adipurush” is facing significant challenges at the box office and is on track to become a major disaster. Despite a remarkable performance on Sunday, the film failed to sustain its momentum in both the Telugu and Hindi versions.
Following a considerable drop on Monday, the film experienced a substantial decline on Tuesday, struggling significantly at the box office. As a result, all distributors are now facing significant risks, as there is no possibility for “Adipurush” to reach the breakeven point. Buyers in all areas are expected to incur substantial losses, making “Adipurush” one of the biggest disasters.
In its first five days, the film grossed approximately 305 crores worldwide, falling significantly short of the 600-crore breakeven mark. At the current pace, it is projected to close with less than 400 crores in gross earnings.
Directed by Om Raut, “Adipurush” stars Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, Sunny Singh as Lakshman, and Deva Dutta Nage as Lord Hanuman. Ajay-Atul and Sachet Parampara are the music directors for the movie.
“Adipurush” is produced on a massive scale by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles. People Media Factory is presenting the film to the Telugu audience. The theatrical rights for the Telugu version alone are valued at 190 crores, and the overall breakeven mark for all versions of the film is 320 crores. For “Adipurush” to achieve a safe position, it needs to perform well at least until the next weekend. However, considering the current trend, reaching that target seems distant for the film.
