Panja Vaisshnav Tej, who had a stellar debut with ‘Uppena’, seemed poised to become the next major hero within the Mega camp. However, his subsequent films, ‘Konda Polam’ and ‘Ranga Ranga Vaibhavamga’, didn’t garner much attention. In an attempt to secure a solid hit, Vaisshnav Tej has returned with ‘Aadikeshava’, a full-throttle action film, a departure from his previous roles. He stars alongside the talented actress Sreeleela.
Backed by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the movie boasts music by GV Prakash and marks the debut of the highly-regarded Malayalam actor Joju George as the antagonist. These elements generated decent buzz around the film, prompting early premieres in select cities across the Telugu states.
Netflix has acquired the rights to ‘Aadikeshava’, intending to stream it from December 25, coinciding with Christmas. Although the comedic aspect of the film is tolerable, the action scenes might not align well with the young hero’s image.
Directed by Srikanth N Reddy, ‘Aadikeshava’ was crafted as a successful faction film but struggled to attract audiences to theaters. Its potential success on OTT platforms, particularly on Netflix, remains to be seen.
