‘Victory’ Venkatesh is the most non-controversial hero in the Telugu film industry. The senior superstar is still in the race despite heavy competition from the younger heroes. Though Venkatesh hardly had any issues with other actors, there seems to be a time when he and Rajendra Prasad had a cold war between them.
Getting into the details, producer KS Rama Rao of ‘Creative Commercials’ bought the Telugu remake rights of the Tamil super hit movie China Thambi and approached Rajendra Prasad for the lead role and the actor has agreed.
However, veteran producer and Venkatesh’s father D Ramanaidu who watched the movie had insisted KS Rama Rao rope Venkatesh as the hero instead of Rajendra Prasad. With Ramanaidu pressurizing him, KS Rama Rao had no other option but to ignore Rajendra Prasad and go ahead with Venkatesh.
The movie went on to become a sensational success and was an industry hit at that time. This led to differences between Rajendra Prasad and Venkatesh and both hasn’t talked to the other for a long time.
