Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao has taken on the national party BJP directly in his speeches for forthcoming GHMC elections.
The civic polls are prestigious to the parties involved as they will decide as to who has control or influence over the city of Hyderabad. Since the polls are just a couple of weeks away, KCR has started out by hitting out directly at the Saffron party.
“The city has been peaceful for seven years. We have not experienced even single day of curfew. It’s for the people to discuss and hold talks about what they want in future. Do they want a city that will become laughing stock of the country with curfews, religion-related violence and daily agitations?” questioned the TRS chief.
He asked the people to decide whether they wanted a Hyderabad which was attracting investments and developing at a fast pace or not. “Wouldn’t you want a Hyderabad that will provide employment opportunities for your children?” pointed out KCR.
Feeling the heat from BJP, thanks to the victories of the saffron party in the past couple of years in various states both in local and assembly polls, KCR took a direct barb at Narendra Modi. “The GDP of Bangladesh is higher than that of India and this speaks volumes about Modi government. Please share this fact on Facebook or other social media. If things continue like this, Nepal’s GDP will also cross that of India’s. Shouldn’t we be ashamed? Are polls all about voting on last-minute promises?” wondered KCR.
KTR and Kavita too have been posting pro-TRS messages and showing off various schemes that have been taken up by the ruling TRS in all these years.
