Actor Khushboo has resigned from the party and the same has been informed to party president Sonia Gandhi. In her resignation letter, Khushboo thanked Sonia Gandhi for giving the opportunity to serve the country as the party’s national spokesperson.
She said, “I, after a long thorough thought process over a period of time, have decided to end my association with the party,” and resigned as a primary member of Congress.
Later, Khushboo joined the BJP party in the presence of senior leaders at the party headquarters in Delhi. After joining the BJP, she said “I will work like any other party workers”.
TNCC leaders said she was removed from the party posting.
Khushboo made an entry in politics in May 2010 by joining the DMK. She left the party after growing differences with MK Stalin. After being in politics for almost four months, she joined the Indian National Congress on November 26, 2014. “It was the happiest moment of my life. I feel at home,” Khushbu said after joining the Congress and she was “proud to join the Congress because it is a secular party.”
