Naveen Medaram dedicated years to crafting the script of “Devil” and directed a substantial portion starring Kalyanram. However, the film’s producer, Abhishek Nama, claimed the directorial credit and removed Naveen from promotional materials. Speculation about their differences has been rife as the film’s release approaches this Friday.
In a heartfelt post, Naveen humbly urged everyone to support “Devil” in theaters, despite his exclusion from the credits. He chose not to address the situation with Abhishek Nama directly but expressed gratitude to Kalyanram, referring to the film as his “baby.” Naveen clarified that he had done nothing wrong during filming and opted not to pursue legal action.
“While I’ve maintained my composure and stayed silent, some have misunderstood my quietude as an error. I want to emphasize that I’ve upheld integrity throughout the film’s creation. The controversy arose from careless decisions driven by ego and greed. Contrary to recent reports, I haven’t taken legal action against anyone involved in the film,” Naveen stated on his social media platform.
